Vacation packages can be a great way to make the most of your vacation - by letting you do the planning up front, you'll spend more of your vacation doing the things you want to do instead of chasing down last minute details. The only problem is when your vacation package choices don't meet your needs, by either charging you for things you don't want or by falling short and not providing the things you do.
With that in mind, although the Phineas Swann offers pre-built packages on our seasonal packages pages, unlike other lodging properties we also give our guests the opportunity to "Build" their own package from the choices below. Choose Romantic add-on's, like champagne, flowers, and chocolates, Spa Experiences, like a massage, or Outdoor Adventures like dogsledding, canoeing, and kayaking.
HOW TO BUILD YOUR PACKAGE: After you've browsed this list, simply give us a call, and we'll add these your choices to your reservation. Or, if you are booking online, after you choose your room and dates of your stay, you will be guided to a page where you can select any of the choices you see below. Simply click on your choices to add them to your reservation. We'll send you an email to confirm your choices. There are no black-out periods for Build Your Own Packages, although some choices are subject to seasonal availability.

Photography Tour

Want to make sure you capture the beauty of Northern Vermont with pictures to remember? The tour includes guided hiking to a beautiful waterfall, covered bridges, areas with views, plus going to spots for the best chance of capturing wildlife. Amateurs receive photography tips from a skilled wildlife photographer. Price is for 5 hours per person for a full day.
Ice Fishing by Snowshoe

Enjoy the unique experience of ice fishing on one of Vermont’s frozen Lakes or ponds. Our provider, Montgomery Adventures, will take you on one of these extraordinary adventures. The price is for two and includes transportation, license, and use of gear out on the ice!
Hiking

Our provider, Montgomery Adventures, will work with you to develop a wonderful guided hiking adventure for you or your group. Is there a special area of Northern Vermont that you’d like to explore? Are you looking for a shorter tour coupled with other warm weather adventures like a Dog Cart Ride or Fishing? The price is per person for a “Tender Foot” hike which is an easy 2 hour hike to one our area’s hidden waterfalls. Call if you want a more challenging experience or wish to couple the hike with an additional adventure.
Gravity Biking Down Jay Peak

Enjoy biking Jay Peak the easy way! Our provider, Montgomery Adventures will take you and your bike to the top of the peak and from where you can glide down. Nothing like avoiding the uphill battle! After reaching the bottom of the peak, your guide will help you on your way to visit some of the many covered bridges in Montgomery. Price is per person and includes transportation up the mountain, a guide around Montgomery when you reach the bottom, and rental of a mountain bike. (If you have your own bike, you can deduct $35.00.)
Fall Foliage Dog Cart Rides

Nothing like this unusual adventure to remember for years to come! The price is per person. Dog Carts rides with our provider, Montgomery Adventures, can accommodate two people through the colorful woods during Fall. Only available on cool days when there is no chance the dogs will overheat.
Dog Sledding

Talk about unique! Go with our provider, Montgomery Adventures for a chance to experience a truly different adventure! The ride is on a musher’s training sled which will allow you to try mushing with the comfort and safety of an experienced musher behind you. Price is per person. Sleds can accommodate up to two people at a time.
Canoeing or Kayaking

There’s nothing like paddling or canoeing on a spectacularly beautiful Northern Vermont lake in the summertime or during Fall foliage, gliding along looking for loons and other wildlife. Our provider, Montgomery Adventures will take you the best spots and handle all the hassle of transporting boats and gear. The price is for a full day for two. Add water’s edge BBQ for $20 per person.
Bass Fishing
